Date: 2024-03-23 02:48 pm (UTC)The equator bit is neat, but you can skip a day anywhere along the dataline. We have Eastern and Western as well as Northern and Southern hemispheres, so the two hemisphere bit is not unique to the equator.
Plus in late December, close to a solstice, the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn are more significant than the equator.
Winter/summer is cool, but do these seasons mean anything in the tropics ?
