More than 1100 children killed in Gaza so far

My entire highschool - grades 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 - was 1200 people.

1100 deaths is just *boggling* ! :(

7. According to the Port of London Thames Bylaws, 36.2: “When the headroom of an arch or span of a bridge is reduced from its usual limits, but that arch or span is not closed to navigation, the person in control of the bridge must suspend from the centre of that arch or span by day a bundle of straw large enough to be conspicuous and by night a white light.”

The QEII Bridge is also regulated by the Port of London Authority. It might be a problem hanging a bale of straw from the bridge deck large enough to be conspicuous from 200 feet below.

Oh, and then there is the London Cable Car or "Dangleway". How do you hang a bale of hay on that ?

Bale of straw with a lot of bright, flashing lights on it? It should be noticeable even in the day, especially if it's in the shadow of the bridge...

I had no idea there was a cable-car line across the Thames! One does hope that it would be shut down altogether while works are being done. Though one can imagine a procession of cable-cars, all dangling a bale of straw below them, perhaps on a retractable line hung out of one window like a fishing rod, so that they don't mess up the receiving/sending stations...
