Date: 2023-10-18 01:57 pm (UTC)The QEII Bridge is also regulated by the Port of London Authority. It might be a problem hanging a bale of straw from the bridge deck large enough to be conspicuous from 200 feet below.
Oh, and then there is the London Cable Car or "Dangleway". How do you hang a bale of hay on that ?

Date: 2023-10-19 04:41 am (UTC)I had no idea there was a cable-car line across the Thames! One does hope that it would be shut down altogether while works are being done. Though one can imagine a procession of cable-cars, all dangling a bale of straw below them, perhaps on a retractable line hung out of one window like a fishing rod, so that they don't mess up the receiving/sending stations...
