It's the end of security updates, not batteries that seem to kill the usefulness of old phones these days.

My last laptop system upgrade wasn't as successful as I wanted because I could not find the secret keycombo for my ancient Lenovo to be able to get to the BIOS setting to tell it to use the new extra memory. :-(. It wasn't ANY of the usual ones and nobody else seemed to know either.

Access to the hardware is only half the story sometimes...

When I learned that Netflix would just let you keep the last DVD, I decided not to watch the rest of my queue, because what I have is a hard-to-buy recording of Robin Williams in concert.
