#5 relates to a notion I have-- that a lot of what goes wrong is a result of trying to fit 10 ounces of water into an 8 ounce glass. (Not sure of best metric substitution.) You can push people very hard, but keep pushing harder and reducing the reward, and eventually something breaks.

Before I saw the metric aside, I thought you were trying to get a UK half pint into a US half pint glass :-)

(A UK pint has twenty ounces, but the US ounce is bigger.)
