I hope that someday my biggest barrier to biking is a fear of cats... or cars. :) (Amurrika! LOL)

Thankfully we live in a rural county- Shropshire- on the English border with Wales and the biggest threat to cyclists hereabouts is likely to be stray sheep! :o)

Fear of cars is exactly why I didn't bicycle when I lived in Cambridge, England. (Though I was fine with bicycling to work in Cambridge, Massachusetts!)

I live in Melbourne and do not cycle because the idea of riding in Melbourne traffic is terrifying.

Yup!

I spent a long weekend in Amsterdam once. We cycled everywhere, and because the paths were physically separated from the roads and pavements I felt just fine about it all.
