Putney to Battersea is 40 minutes by tube, with lots of stairs we'd have to carry a buggy up and down. So Jane had a genius idea and we are on a boat. Which does the trip in 31 minutes, and is a lot more comfortable with a nicer view.

Boats are under used in public transport in the UK I feel.

Sometimes on a day off Lorne and I would go and just ride the Seabus back and forth across Burrard Inlet. It is a beautiful ride that I yet to tire of. One *can* go to Lonsdale Quay, but it is more fun to watch for the big rotating Q on top of the mall as you get close enough to distinguish it. Riding back to Waterfront Station at sunset is also pretty fantastic.

I vote "more boats!"

Happily some more will soon be running from Edinburgh across the Forth.

I looked up both places on a map to get an idea of where they are and am surprised it takes 40 minutes by tube. They look very near. But checking at the tube map now, I see there is no direct line between them so I guess switching trains and waiting for the connections is much of the delay. The boat was a good idea!

Yeah, it's the change. And trying to do that up and down steps with a buggy.
