4. This will work well with flexible solar films or rigid-flex photovoltaic designs, where you can print a continuous strip of solar cells and then roll it up. Use a bulldozer to flatten out the site, unroll the strip, and then fasten it down with anchors screwed into the ground.

Would it still be viable at higher longitudes, where the angle of the sun with the ground is much steeper?

You'd lose power for sure, versus having it angled at the sun, but a 20% cost savings means you could 11 degrees off the optimal angle and still save money. Plus you can bulldoze gravel into a slope - max of 25 degrees or so, so still not optimum for high latitudes, but it might be worth it if you need power and capital funding is tight.

OK, theoretically you could get up to a 45 degree slope with gravel, and peg down your panels to that. Still probably not as good as panels on an elevated array (vines can grow over earth-mounted panels, storms are more likely to cover them with mud and leaves), but capital costs are always balanced against operating and maintenance costs when making these decisions.

Thank you for that insight! Indeed, the capital market is tight right now, and the price for power is high. If you wanna move fast, it's certainly an option.

That Tik Tok video is very ageist, not to mention sexist. After all, it's the men she describes who are the ones really at fault, so why attack their victims (people who have been "gaslighted" as she says, are in fact victims... )? And the sneering tone and expression do in my opinion make it an attack. She is, as they say, 'punching down' at easy targets, because the real one is...not so easy.

I agree with the rest of your criticism, but I don't see the ageism in the video. It's fairly clear that she doesn't endorse the behaviour of these men in 'trading in for a younger model'.

It's the sneer at the women, that they will be discarded when they reach middle-age. A version of the "Karen" slur, which English-language social media directs at every middle-aged woman who dares to stand up for herself.

I assume the speaker is quite young herself.

1) The "counting age" is, as I understand, how American racehorse ages are determined for the purpose of determining their classification (2 year olds, 3 year olds, etc.).
