Doesn't she understand that the overwhelming majority of trans women are straight (percentages are about the same as in the cis community) and would certainly not be attracted to a cis lesbian in the first place? Would she be attracted to a trans guy, I wonder?

And fwiw my voice is light as it never fully broke, I'm comparatively short and I have a small jaw and high cheekbones, no Adam's apple and nor do I have the other thing she seems so worried by- I rely on my husband to provide that as required!

I am actually quite surprised by the claim that sexual orientation doesn't break down differently, but I acknowledge that my perspective might be a bit skewed. Whilst I don't think I know any straight trans people, I don't know all that many straight cis people except through work and church...

It may be generational- I transitioned at fifteen and am now sixty five, but the trans women I know are mostly straight and mostly in relationships (although not entirely) and that's what the figures still seem to suggest.

I suppose there's always the issue that we all tend to know 'people like us.' :o)

3. There's a bit of discussion ongoing in Canada about passports, and the spelling of Indigenous names thereon. Apparently, the terms of the International Civil Aviation Authority treaty and the regulations put out by the ICAA are a stumbling block for getting that resolved to the satisfaction of our Indigenous relations.
