Twitter won't show me the Spanish covid thing; does it have a link to anything public in it? (Thanks.)

I just tried Firefox, Edge, and Chrome, and got the same "limited who can see their tweets" message.

Googling found me this article: https://www.rt.com/news/518396-high-covid-mortality-children/

Also, your summary doesn't include "childhood" before "Covid mortality rate," which confused me at first.

Am I the only one who worries about this backfiring on everyone using either credit cards, cryptocurrency, or both?

I hope it doesn't lead to a reduction of service for the passengers who rely on it. I've seen how VIA Rail and Amtrak have been abused across the decades.

Of course, private sector service doesn't seem to do much better.

Likely to lead to an increase in services if anything. The Scottish Government explicitly link improvements in rail travel with their low-carbon planning and with their attempts to manage the logistics of the growth of population in Scotland's cities. Edinburgh in particular is growing rapidly and the transport corridors in to the city are full to bursting. Improved rail services would lead to a more people being able to live and work in Edinburgh's economic basin.

So we're getting things like Reston Station and East Linton Station on the mainline in to Edinburgh to improve commuting from the Borders coast - which is a lovely part of the world but currently a bit empty.

The thing that grinds my gears about the Men's Right Movement is that there are actually plenty of things that men as a group should be agitating about politically. Health and safety at work, mental health issues, the disparity in expected life expectancy, gendered assumptions about childcare, custody, and also about career choices and working patterns. A whole bunch of other stuff too.

But those MRA eegits suck all of the oxygen out of any attempt to have a sensible discussion about any of that.

Absolutely true. The reich-wingers have stolen the rhetorical language that ought to be put to far better usages such as you've just detailed!
