The 58% article flies in the face of all the evidence coming out of Scotland, Wales and England and this report has not shown up anywhere else.

I'm taking this with a largish dose of salt and not just because I'm a sixtysomething who's had the first Pfizer jab! :op

Though of course no one is likely to be left on just one dose.

I wasn't making assumptions I have to admit- we're fairly safe where we are so we're staying where we are for now! :o)

Has anyone looked at the impact of having three doses of a vaccine? Or the impact of having both the Pfizer and the Astra-Zenica vaccine over a period of months?

I did hear that someone in Australia overdosed some people by 4x the correct dose but the outcome doesn't appear to have made the news as yet.

I suspect that it'd be similar to someone getting one or two doses, then getting exposed to someone infected - the vaccines have different mechanisms, but are both targeting the same spike protein, so the end result should be the same.

Of course, real life doesn't care what I think, and biological processes are complicated.

That makes sense as a working hypothesis.

And we won't have any data on the effect of a 12 week gap on overall protection from week 15 onwards because I don't think anyone in the UK will have had their second dose yet. Or not many and them only very recently.

Owing to a scheduling glitch, B. is getting her second dose of Pfizer 29 days out instead of the recommended 21. From this I guess she'll be OK.

I'm not eligible here yet. Age limit right now is 65. They say they'll be opening up the next tranch in a couple of weeks; we'll see.
