1. Those fishery products are doomed, aren't they? :-(

2. I am unsurprised by this. Disgusted and unsurprised.

3. Oh, DAMMIT!!!

8. I continue to expect to see revealed that the harms feared by the bill's critics are exactly what the bill's authors want to bring into force here. Features, not "flaws".

11. Yep, this is part of the evolution of font-making tech. Colour font creation - as advertised as a feature of FontLab, Glyphs, etc. - was going to lead to this.

It says: "scammers will also use this method to bypass real two-factor verification (they can't log into your account without the number sent to your phone, so they ask you for the number),"

I don't follow this. These numbers sent to your phone usually expire within an hour and can only be used once, so how would a scammer know you'd just been sent a number and hadn't used it yet?

MITM attack, presumably. On one line, they call you and claim to be (for example) your bank; on the other line, they call your bank and claim to be you. The bank tells them they've texted your mobile; they pass that message on to you, and pass the code back when you give it.
