Date: 2020-10-24 12:20 pm (UTC)I've been to Chester and noted how easy it is to cross the Welsh border in the middle of a shopping centre without noticing that you've done so until you spy the bilingual road signs. Trying to lock down one side of this and not the other strikes as a recipe for trouble.

One of the anchor stores has a corner missing from it, because it was accidentally built crossing the border. They had to rebuild that part of the building to avoid the border, or Massachusetts would start charging sales tax (NH has no sales tax, which is why there's a big shopping mall right on the border...).
