I read "Your job application was rejected by a human, not a computer" and it seems to me that what it's saying is that yes indeed, your job application was rejected by a computer. The human involvement is that a human told the computer to do it. That doesn't seem to me to make it not count. Also, they seem to be quibbling over the term "rejected"; the computer didn't actually reject you; it just put your vita in a file where no human will ever consider it. I don't accept that save either.

It seems that in families with children, it is women who have had to do more of the extra childcare due to coronavirus and women's jobs that have suffered worse. Borne out by the number of phone calls with my team where the (female) parents seem to be regularly interrupted by children's voices. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the gender pay gap figures would have worsened due to coronavirus.
