Covid in Sweden

Sweden has twice NZ's population, but oh how different things have played out. So far, we've only had 25 covid deaths here.

We haven't been big mask wearers though. We've followed the WHO guidelines with this and so it wasn't recommended we should wear masks during our first lockdown, which otherwise was a very hard lockdown. That was enough to eliminate the outbreak in about two months. We've since had a second, smaller outbreak confined to Auckland that started in August, and mask wearing was encouraged then, and near-enough to being required on public transport. That's been eliminated too, so we're back to doing as we please now, locally.

So I really don't know about masks. I thought they should've been recommended early on in our first lockdown and still think they should be during outbreaks, but I'm in two minds as to how much of a difference they make.

Yeah - directly works. Otherwise "The site at ... has experienced a network protocol violation that cannot be repaired."

Beetles are strong!

That 'network protocol violation' just happened again. Could only get to Twitter in a new private window. (Talking Firefox here.) Clearing all Twitter cookies fixed it though, so it may have been Twitter mucking up its cookies.
