I thought everyone with an interest in this (so, not most people outside the EU and UK) already knew what the problem was. But I suppose with four years of the Tories insisting that yes, gravity exists, but it's okay because nothing will ever fall to the ground and break, it was easy to go "but the people I voted for say it's okay, so it must be."
