The first time we 'rolled over in bed' together was the time he said he'd missed the last train back to London and I've always wondered about that. :o)

He's straight cis male and I'm straight trans female and that's when I told him about the 'trans' bit.

It'll be 27 years together this September.

People have already commented on the other links that caught my eye, so I'll tackle the third: indeed, people do that in other countries too, assuming "the poor" not only have less but need less. No comment, really.

I don't assume that the poor need less; but that I have a lot of things I don't *need* but, rather, want. I try not to judge others for spending their money according to their priorities, though.
