I know a number of younger trans lasses who found real comfort in those books which makes the betrayal even worse, so I'm glad he's stepped up.

Kudos to IBM for taking a stance like that. That should hopefully make people pay attention. And gee, you mean we can, in fact, simply choose not to develop certain technologies? Who'd have thought.

I understand they did that in Liverpool. I read that the city researched the origins of all its street names and changed the ones named for slavers. Although they made an exception for a street possibly named for a slave trader called James Penny. Penny ... Lane, you've heard of it.

Cable to Ease the Boss' Anxieties and Buck Up Congressional GOPers It's actually even sillier than that - a group known as the Lincoln Project are a bunch of anti-45 Republicans who are buying ads mocking 45 (which are often quite odd from my PoV, since they are specifically mocking him using arguments designed to appeal to Republicans). In addition to running these ads in swing states, and they're also specifically doing so where 45 is to upset him and maybe sway some congressional Republicans who might abandon him, so the ads his supporters are running are an attempt to pacify him and mollify Congressional Republicans when they see these ads.
