I still don't understand what/how these people think breaking encryption helps anyone, as if this wouldn't be an utter disaster for the entire economic system. or that somehow you could have some exceptions that wouldn't be abused/misused/targeted.

All we need is encryption that can be used by good people for good things, but not by bad people for bad things.
