The religious school bit really hits home. I’m the office manager for an organization, which, among other things, provides special ed services to full-time and part-time religious schools. (Students on individual education plans can get services at the local public schools, but transportation is complicated.) When we started getting public funding (private schools get public funding on the grounds that the parents pay property taxes) I was appalled that we were eligible.
