Re the Daily Mail stuff- the same Richard Littlejohn who drove trans teacher Lucy Meadows to suicide a while back.

That may sound like the apex of stupid, but when I was an American public school student half a century ago, we held nuclear war drills. They looked pretty much like the photo at the top of the article, except that we were underneath the desks. That was supposed to protect us from an A-bomb.
