1. AfD person says that Germans were the "only people in the world who planted a memorial of shame in the heart of their capital." Never been here, has he?

2. Never seen anyone write "N or fewer" before.

3. Recipe enjoyable to read, but when cooking something of a kind I haven't done before, I'd prefer the security of a few hard numbers, because it's hard to make by-the-eye judgments without experience.

4. Chinese view fascinating. Few successful people in the West think luck had anything to do with their success; I'm surprised when any do. I'm appalled that there's a class at Stanford Business teaching how to use logos and slogans to motivate employees. As a former employee, I can testify there's no greater scorn than for bosses who think logos and slogans can motivate us, especially when used as a less expensive substitute for improving wages, benefits, working conditions, etc.
