Seriously, why is that article anything more than, "Landlord fined and jailed for contempt of court for not immediately removing illegal housing postings"?

Age and Wisdom

I'd have hoped that the one would inevitably bring the other to my brain. And to the brains of most humans alike, for that matter. I'm not sure whether informed hope or cynicism is going to win the day, though, much less the century.

As for the Yogarise/Peckham/Evening Standard story...

...yeah, that was an argument that didn't need to happen. Someone went out of their way to be tone-deaf and it was the Evening Standard and Yogarise people.

I'm a couple of decades older than you and I think I'm wiser now than in what passed for my prime. But that's mainly because I just know more and have seen more of how stuff can pan out.

That said, one of my worst stints in life because of my own foolishness was in my 50s, so I'd say I'm certainly not any better at taking my own advice than in the past. Knowing what you should do doesn't necessarily lead to doing what you should do...
