Diet Update

Well, since dropping the carbohydrates again and getting more sleep, I now feel far, far better. In fact, despite havign a slight cold I feel better than I have in weeks.
Note to self: stop being an idiot and thinking that you can have "just one sweet thing". You can't. The occasional higher-carb savoury thing won't kill you, but sweet things are just death.

Date: 2003-07-25 01:56 am (UTC)I think I'm just set up to be healthy and have had to try too hard in the past to keep up the unhealthy programmer lifestyle.
I LIKE vegetables. I feel a strong desire to exercise. I naturally walk or cycle and I always take the stairs (even with shopping). I don't like sweets/cakes/chocolate/biscuits/jam. I feel much better if I avoid caffeine and alcohol (though I do like them!). I'm not really fond of any other drugs.

Date: 2003-07-25 04:41 am (UTC)I'm with you on the sweets-- just don't like 'em, or sweet sweet sweet drinks like Coke. Blasted high fructose corn syrup. I love veggies-- roasted aubergine, yum yum yum!-- and I prefer olive oil to butter... but try to take away my caffene and you will meet with stern resistance!
