Very nicely written and interesting. I presume the target audience was the lay person reading the Sunday Herald and not Moore-aphiles.

Maybe Erin can write another article that's more in depth and 30-40 times longer :)

Very cool, I envy you two the chance to have spoken to him. I'm also impressed with his atitude towards film adaptations, it makes excellent sense - likely it comes from working in a deeply wretched field like comics (which is the only creative field I know off that treats writers worse than the RPG industry). I'm also amused that he keeps up the stereotype of ceremonial magicians being utter and complete slobs. There are exceptions, but they are quite rare indeed. IIRC, Zelazny even had Merlin mention this fact in one of the first books of the 2nd Amber series.

Emotionally perhaps, but unlike comics and RPGs, one has not only a near guarantee of getting paid, but also the not unreasonable hope that one can make vast sums of money. A successful screenwriter makes (at least) a solid middle-class income, successful comics and RPG writers are lucky not to have to work a second job.
