1.2% per year? That looks like a pretty poor improvement in wages given the change in the size of the economy and indeed in prices over the same period.

Actually, now I've looked at the article, I see it's inflation adjusted, so it's not bad after all! Would be interesting to see how that compares with other countries.

That's after inflation, so taking price rises into account.
