I noticed the pressure on the boiler was a bit low.

So I topped it up, and made a note to check on it an hour later.

At which point it had gone from 2.5bar down to just over 1.

Which means that either the boiler is venting water outside (bad) or one of the pipes under the floor has a really nasty leak (worse). The latter made even worse because we've had flooring put down, which means that any investigation of pipes is going to involve taking that up first, including removing whatever is on top of it. Joy!

So today is being spent doing lots of tidying up, as the flat is a bit of a disaster area, and then I'm texting our plumbers later on.

Wish me luck.

*wince*

Good luck! Hope it is easily fixed and doesn't require mass floor lifting.

Ouch, good luck with that! Have it looked at sooner rather than later -- especially with the really cold months coming.

One of the radiator valves could be loose and losing air. Are all the radiators hot all the way from bottom to top?

Try bleeding them again. It's fun and might fix the issue.

Had same problem. Turned out to be the boiler leaking air. Guy we use is James Harris (07977297355). Very good and charges very reasonable rates. Really like him and been using him for years. Been one or two ocassions when I have phoned him and told him issue, which he diagnosed over phone and told me exactly how to fix myself without charging me.
