A footwear item being removed from ebay for "sexual content" isn't actually that surprising. If you go looking, there are,uh, well-worn footwear items listed (less than there used to be, but there are still quite a few) for reasons that the listings usually hint at. I guess maybe the phrasing suggested (accidentally) that this item was like those.

Ah, ok - thanks for that. I hadn't realised the Radcliffe Camera (which I'd confused with the Sheldonian, the other impressive-looking circular building) was part of the Bodleian, but you're absolutely right, it is.
