Substitute tells an interesting story of a person who wasn't quite what they seemed...

That is a rather scary story. In retrospect, I wonder if Substitute felt he should have realised sooner? While she may have been intelligent and charming, the story of her life that she was perpetuating seems so fantastical, I think I'd have called it into doubt sooner. Or mabye I'm just a cynic! ;+)

Still, quite fascinating. And I feel strangely sympathetic towards her - I hope wherever she is today, she's OK.

You're right. What was hard for me to get across was how damned good she was. All her stories hung together, had corroborating detail, and flowed naturally. The woman was a born storyteller and of very superior intellect. So, it did take me about 18 months to figure it out.

What a waste, eh?
