I don't know where that one is, but it's a tunnel made of wisteria and there are a few around. I've walked through a tunnel of laburnum before, which is lovely (but yellow instead of lilac and white). I think it was this one, in fact: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22867957@N06/2406709505/

Just think of all the happy spiders that could be lurking above you if you were to walk through that.

Less happy now, huh?

Apparently, it's in Hampton Court. And it is lovely.

So wait it's the same picture tagged as being on opposite sides of the world - which is it?

the korea source is earlier than the pixdau source tagged as hampton court, so my bet is the first to the post. also, the hampton court wisteria tunnel doesn't look at all like this.

Of course, why didn't I think to just look up other pictures?

I actually like the Hampton Court one better. Shorter and less otherworldy but very gorgeous in its own right.

Here's a photograph of the Hampton Court wisteria tunnel - it looks jolly nice too, but a little different.

Just to add to the confusion, there's a few claims for it being the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan. See...

And one of the links there leads here...

http://miyuki-smile.seesaa.net/article/149559923.html

where you'll see Andrew's tunnel (3 pics down), just photographed from the other end. Google translates the blog title as 'Yahatahigashi Ward, Kitakyushu City Park Department Kawauti Kawauti'.

It must smell lovely walking through there. Wisteria has a nice scent.
