I went looking for it after you mentioned it to me.

I'd like more concrete examples of the stuff in it, but I can certainly see that simply labelling things as either "healthy" or "unhealthy" doesn't help people make informed decisions.

I'll look forward to it. Thanks for the link. I'd heard about the AD36 thing, but not recently.

What always gets to me are the comments on any news site that prints research. You get a story saying that people with a particular gene are morel ikely to be overweight, and 300 people say "They just eat too much! Stupid scientists!" - no engagement with the research in the slightest, just deliberate ignorance.

My first thoughts were (i) sometimes meat with meat is nice, but isn't meat with meat with meat with meat just overkill? Is it actually an interesting combination? Isn't it just weird without _some_ substrate? And (ii) is it actually much more unhealthy that any other meat, if you chose to gorge yourself on several solid pounds of it and nothing else?

Yeouch. On the other hand, if we're going to be applying government coersion, it'd be better spent preventing intrusive porn (much of which is advertising and spam) than on preventing people looking at what they want to look at.
