Whoa. That's very cool. In a sense it's not surprising they can do that, but in another sense, it's startling how powerful the kit being released for gaming is :)

The technology is sound. The wire model used to determine what the huma nis doing however isn't detailed enough for fingers. When they do a patch to sort this and they find a use for the Kinect which isn't bad versions of Eye Toy or Wii games, I will take note.

N.B. The idea of Steel Battalion on Kinect may just peak my interest...

i'd love to see someone connect several of these into a proper 3d motion capture type setup.
