Your career is not Monopoly, it is D&D

I was surprised to find out what this was talking about; I would have thought the obvious analogy between D&D and somebody's career is that you get to roll for stats (birth), decide on a character class and initial skills (choice of school-leaving age and/or A-level and university subjects), then go on a lot of quests without much point other than racking up experience and/or collecting treasure!
