Yes, I try to avoid that kind of situation. Which can be a shame. Mind you, I've known people with libertarian leanings who were perfectly nice in all sorts of ways.

And I have my own libertarian bent - I believe we should only have laws that are entirely necessary. My definition of "entirely necessary" is merely somewhat broader than some people's...
