Gosh. I wasn't expecting that.

Well, I was kind of expecting what was in it.

But I wasn't expecting _that_.

yes - I can usually see the plot end a mile off, but i love it when I genuinely didn't expect it.

TBH I was gunning for a kitten inside

See Dalek Invasion Earth, 1964, where they also came in a range of exciting colours.

Pretty much. I'm still cautious, and from about 2/3rds way in was getting to point I knew it was a trap for him, but I want to know what happens next, and suspect it might be cool.

RTD endings I always knew wouldn't be. Just hope it's not a Deus Ex ending again...

There's a difference between amping up the action and over-egging the pudding.

When he started going on about a dangerous creature, blood of millions etc, I started suspecting something about what it was meant to hold, but totally didn't see it coming all the same.

Was expecting the ending after the long way round method the message took to get delivered, such things breed suspicion in my twisted brain.
Suspicions confirmed by later dialogue.
Still it will be nice to see what happens next.

We cottoned on - Erin before me. Obv lots of people knew what the Pandorica held, although, yes, unexpected and quite, quite brilliant execution of the idea.

That being said, since River Song wasn't too bothered when last they'd met you sort of have to think the Doctor knows that there's some way out, and Song should know that too since she knows that she sees the Doctor again with the memory on the planet with the Stone Angels.

Although we also know that she's in prison for killing someone, probably the Doctor himself. If she didn't seem so genuinely concerned about the fact the Tardis was playing up, I'd be suspicious right now that it was actually her who personally orchestrated the whole thing and that it was putting the Doctor in the Pandorica that she was imprisoned for, except that she was already in prison before she did that, except that of course she could have orchestrated the whole thing at some other point, except that she seemed genuinely concerned by the report from Churchill about the Van Gogh, except that there's no saying that Stormwhatsit might not have pre-emptively imprisoned her for something her future herself already did...

*head explodes*

Cute line from a discussion elsewhere:

'I knew nothing could meet my expectations of what would be in the box, but nothing did'.

I'd rather see Ten in those arm cuffs, though. ;)
