If Anglo-Iranian Oil never exists, this guy has a completely different career and probably does not get to be an oil baron. So his son is not my dad's godfather, my dad does not get a weird middle name and learn how to eat a Dover sole (this being apparently the sole function of a godparent in those days), and it beomes unlikely that I exist.
