The word for "taking pleasure in another's pain" is schadenfreude.

What's the word for "taking pleasure in another's happiness"?

Mudita or eudokia - Buddhist or Greek. The Germans may not have a word for it, but then, they wouldn't, would they?

I've often heard the word "compersion" used, but I think that's primarily in the poly circles.

Finding is the new knowing. =)

Look up 'opposite of schadenfreude'. Interesting links and references.
