The article says they need more research for the acupuncture thing, but it's pretty cool if it turns out to be proven. I still wouldn't let them near me though...
Sure, more research required (it's rare that I don't argue that), but the evidence that it is effective is patchy to say the least. I'm with Edzard Ernst: "The curious thing with acupuncture is that we seem to understand better and better how it might work and, at the same time, we have more and more reason to doubt that it works."
I've seen enough stuff to be at least persuadable. Particularly stuff which indicates that the needles help, but the positioning of them is completely arbitrary.
