I am slightly surprised to discover we are watching Megashark versus Giant Octopus

Admittedly, it's on in the background, while surfing the internet on the sofa. It's nowhere near good enough to actually hold our attentions, but as something to actually look up at and laugh at the latest stupidity it's damn near perfect.

We saw 2012 at the cinema.

I loved the car being chased through LA by an earthquake. Particularly when it goes through a falling skyscraper. You don't get much better than that.

The falling skyscraper was fun, but I was a little disturbed by the by the fact that it was empty. The utter lack of body count in that movie was both relaxing and distracting.
