I just noticed that Avatar is _still_ in the cinemas in the US - leading it to hit #12 on the all-time box-office charts (inflation adjusted). It's just crept passed The Empire Strikes Back, but it's never going to beat 101 Dalmatians. Titanic is, of course, still well ahead of it. The only other film of the last 20 years in the top 20 is The Phantom Menace.

Avatar was released in the USA on 16th December. I'm curious to know exactly who is still going to see it. I can understand wanting to avoid the packed cinemas when it first came out, but if you wanted to see it, you have had almost 5 months in which to do so. Boggles.

If I was in the states and bored I'd probably have seen it a few times.

If I was in college and still smoking lots and lots of pot I probably would have seen it about 30 times, because can you imagine giant blue 3d cats while stone?
