Good: I spent a nice day relaxing with Julie, didn't get out of bed until after midday, and have fitted in a few episodes of Sex and the City.
Bad: I watched the pilot of 30 Rock, to see what the fuss was about. It was...bad. Not _awful_ - but certainly not anywhere near good.
Good: I finally got around to putting the DD-WRT firmware onto my router, which means that UPNP works properly for the first time since I got my router, and bittorrent doesn't cause the entire network to seize up any more. Oh, and the router is much more responsive.
Bad: It took about five goes, because router upgrades are a pain in the neck, and I already had a different custom firmware on it.
Good: A few weeks ago I discovered that Sainsburies diet custard is only 2% sugar, and they also have sugar-free jelly. I am thus reliving my childhood with jelly and custard, without the problem of going into hypoglycemic shot two hours later.

I want a Nokia N85. They look lovely, and seem to be the perfect device for me.

However, it's not actually available through any of the carriers in the UK. If I want it I have to go through a middleman like DialAPhone or MobileExpress, which I'd really rather not do. Even more annoyingly, I rather fancied switching to O2, and even the middlemen are only offering it on Orange, who I'm rather fed up with.

There's the option of buying it outright. But at £450 it would actually cost as much to do that over 18 months as it would to get it on contract for that time - as it's been years since I've had a phone last more than that long without developing a physical defect, this doesn't seem to be a good deal.

So, do I wait and see if any of the carriers release it themselves, go with a middle man, or something else?
