Long day

8:00 - wake up.
8:15 - feed Julie tea to wake _her_ up.
8:30 - meet up with Julie's mum.
9:00 - arrive at University Health Centre so Julie can see someone.
9:40 - Julie see's someone.
10:00 - off to Julie's old flat to get the last of her stuff.
11:30 - finish packing her last few corsets, shoes and other bits of left-over stuff into boxes/bags.
11:45 - Richard's moving van arrives.
12:30 - finish putting Richard's stuff into van. Agree that I should go with him to unpack at the other end, while Julie/her Mum clean her old flat.
13:45 - finish helping carry Richard's stuff up 5 flights of stairs to his new flat.
14:00 - van driver gives me a lift to Murrayfield stadium, so I can catch a bus back into town.
14:30 - arrive back at my place, with KFC in my hands. Eat it while watching an episode of Futurama. Bender adopts children With Hilarious Consequences.
15:00 - hit stop, head over to Julie's new flat to meet up with her and her mother. Help unpack stuff there for a bit.
16:30 - drive over to Julie's old flat to drop off some stuff her Mum needs to stay there tonight.
17:00 - drive back from Julie's old flat with the very last of Julie's stuff, being dropped off at Hugh/Meredith's place, so I can say goodbye to _my_ mother, who has also been up for the weekend.
18:30 - kiss my mother goodbye, put her on an airport shuttle-bus.
18:33 - picked up by Julie/her mother and driven to Ikea.
21:00 - stagger out of Ikea, with Stuff.
21:40 - stagger out of Sainsburies, with More Stuff.
22:00 - carry both Stuff and More Stuff up to Julie's new flat.
22:10 - dropped off at my place so that they can go to Simon's and get some of His Stuff.
22:20 - write LJ entry, so other people can appreciate that my Day Off Work was A Lot Of Work.
23:00 (estimated) - Julie's Mum drops her back off here.
23:10 (estimated) - climb into bed. Die.

Edit to Add Actuals:
22:45 - Julie arrives at my place, and we walk to hers to unpack Simon's stuff.
23:15 - back to mine to update this and grab work clothes for tomorrow.
23:45 - new estimate Time Of Death.

Oh For Goodness Sake

I have Amazon Prime, which means I don't pay any postage costs for things bought from Amazon. Which is nice, and has so far saved me more than the yearly cost (£49).

It's great - except in one respect: They sometimes send things "guaranteed next day" - which means it goes by Citylink rather than Royal Mail. Citylink's nearest depot is in _Livingston_ - 28 miles away. The Post Office depot, on the other hand, is a 15 minute walk from my office.

Is there a way to say "For God's Sake, always send _everything_ by Royal Mail!!!"? No, there isn't.
