princealbert and poisonduk both picked up an O2 Joggler over the weekend.

It's basically a small touchpad computer, designed for you to use with your O2 mobile account to display a calendar, send you reminders, etc.

However, more importantly it's also capable of streaming photos and music. And when princealbert took his apart he discovered a dual-core Atom setup, complete with n-series WiFi.

And it's currently on sale for £50. Which for a music streamer with speakers is pretty damned impressive.  They _have_ to be selling that at a loss.

I ordered mine at the weekend, so it'll probably arrive on Wednesday (due to the bank holiday).  I'm looking forward to having a play with it and see what works..  There are already guides online to getting it to boot Ubuntu...

Does it mention if it's battery powered or mains only? It does look fairly hefty, but I'm tempted at the £50 price. Any chance of a mini-review once it arrives?

Mains powered. But I believe that princealbert is working on hacking a battery pack on to his.

Definitely mains powered, but we have ordered battery packs to see if we can make it more mobile. Screen quality is fantastic and the streaming works great - I've just played back an episode of True Blood on mine which was on my laptop.

Really easy to set up out of the box and kind of liking the o2 calendar thing even if it doesn't sync with outlook which I would love it to do!
