Oh wow, the WIPP (nuke warning thing) is something I remember looking at when the internet was still new to me - it was certainly the first PDF I remember seeing because I was utterly confused by the concept. It didn't look like that one does, though, it was a much cruder scan, but I was fascinated by the whole thing. Thanks for the reminder!

(I can't date when I saw it though, I think it was pre-1999, possibly pre-1997)

I would also like to take this opportunity to point out that the infamous video of the exploding whale was the first video I downloaded off the internet, and the first www page was something dad found about Sumo wrestling in Japan, everyone marvelling that you could read information held on a computer on the other side of the world in 1994.
