I'm thinking of something like the situation in the US porn industry, where it's been determined that the performers having sex with one another are not engaging in prostitution because no money is being exchanged between them. But some non-black female performers will refuse to do 'inter-racial' with black men because they claim it can be bad for their careers with southern racists. Obviously that is more in the open / public, however...
