Julie and I went to see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo yesterday. Which was gruelling, but very well done. A proper murder mystery, of the kind I haven't seen at the movies in years. I wonder what the US remake will be like. Probably less Swedish.

Next up - Kick Ass and Clash of The Titans. What else should I be seeing right now?

Oh, and we just watched the trailer for Scott Pilgrim Versus The World, which looks fantastic. Appealing straight to the heart of my 14-year-old self.

Ooh, ooh! Wanna hear something cool? Part of Kick-Ass was filmed on my old street, and they actually paid me to set up lights on my apartment balcony for it. I didn't get to watch, because I was in Boston that week, but still. Cool.

Scott Pilgrim looks very fun. Just a shame Ramona doesn't look like the sort of girl I'd cross the road for, let alone get beaten up...

Oh, and what the hell is Kick Ass about? I see posters everywhere and they tell me nothing apart from 'ninja'.

Kid watches too many superhero movies, decides to dress up in stupid costume and fight crime. Things do not go according to plan.

It looks very silly, and like a lot of fun. Reviews have so far been stellar.
