Love the Ada Lovelace stuff! Didn't know about her and now I'm adding her to my classroom curriculum.
Yay for dogs sledding!!
And I think the Jedi are idiots for not feeling. And not letting Jedi's marry/love/etc. Stupid. And the Sith need to stop thinking that just because they feel doesn't mean they get to slaughter everything in site. I mean really people. Were are the balanced Jed'Sith in all of this? Well I guess I gotta think them up. :)
I'm faintly disappointed that 'balance' turns out to be intended to mean 'light side only'. The obvious interpretation of the concept, in the light of the prequel trilogy, was that the Jedi started off vastly outnumbering the Sith but by the end of Ep3 Anakin had levelled the score at two-all. (Of course, in this interpretation, the prophecy conveniently omitted to mention the subsequent one-nil victory by the end of Ep6; but it would be a feeble prophecy that told the whole truth without misleading.)
I think that chaos and order thing predates Nietzche somewhat. Especially as Lucas is a big fan of Kurosawa, his inspiration might be somewhat more Eastern :->
