andrewducker: (my brain)

Woke up at 5am from dreams where vampires were chasing me. Well, one vampire. A little girl. But anyway - nightmares at 5am. Never made it back to sleep. Gave up at 6:30 and just got the hell up. Now waiting for 8am so I can bring Julie tea in bed.

*sigh*

Work's keeping me working hard, but it's not _stressful_, just ongoing. Stuff with Julie is great. Can't work out why I'd be waking up with a racing heart that refused to calm down.

I keep feeling like _something_ is up. My mind is refusing to calm down, and I'm generally feeling overstretched, despite cutting down my socialising and taking a lot more "me" time. I've been in a bit of a slump since the flat went to hell, and the unhappiness that went with that has never really gone away. I'm planning on taking some time off once the current project has gone live (late April), maybe that will help.

I went through a period like that a few years ago, and I found that increasing the amount of exercise I got helped me a lot. In particular walking on my own in the country.

I'm having restless nights and weird dreams too, as is Craig. Last night I dreamt that I accidentally killed a blue whale by dropping a Lamborghini on it's head from a helicopter. And that's one of the tamer weird dreams. I'd love a decent night's sleep. *yawn*

Hope you manage to get some good zzzz's soon.

Actually, if you're struggling to sleep, I recommend 1/4 of a sleeping pill around 9pm. Its enough to make you fuzzy and sleep, but not enough for you to spend the following day feeling like you were eaten by a cotton ball.

A good nights sleep is so important to function properly... on Saturday I didn't sleep ALL night cos of upstairs neighbours dog going mental; then 2 nights later woke up at 4am as there was an Earthquake!!! I am in the good position of not working at the moment tho so I can catch up on sleep during the day. Hope you feel more rested soon!
