I must admit my only strong feeling was, why is she dumping her lamp on the pavement for people to trip over? :-)

Leaving useful things on the kerb usually means that they vanish into someone else's home pretty quickly, in my experience.

I don't require a filmmaker in order to feel those emotions when throwing things away. Then I have to talk to myself, like that guy at the end, in order to convince myself to go through with it.
