Now why didn't I think of that? I did a total mental Newton's catflap and figured in my head you'd need a lookup to translate Alpha into A ... *sigh*

The other way round would just be something like:

join ' ', map {$lookup{lc($_)}} split(/(\b|\s+)/ $_);

where %lookup is a hash of letters to words.
