That review is interesting, but chock-full of extremely generous extrapolations, half-formed or under-informed commentary on real-world source material/other films, and the odd clanger.

Some people have criticized the fact that the Pandorans are all based on motion capture of actors of colour; I take it that the point here is to help ensure that we always see the human/Pandoran avatars as clearly different enough that no Pandoran ever thinks of them as precisely the same. It will also doubtless have affected the dynamics between the actors.

Maybe I've become over-sensitised by the internets, but this to me sounds as loaded as a very, very very loaded thing.
